Background
StreamCom Limited is a broadcast IT and engineering company providing high-level turnkey solutions to the industry. Our customers include Niu FM, the Māori Broadcast Funding Agency (Te Māngai Pāho), Te Whakaruruhau (the association of Māori radio broadcasters), Mai Media Limited, and 22 Iwi radio stations, for whom we provide the Punga Net broadcast contribution/distribution network, and Irirangi.net, an Internet site which is a gateway for streaming of every funded Māori radio station onto the world wide web.
The Streamcom Group
StreamCom is part of a group of companies with common shareholding. These companies are StreamCom, StreamWeb, and Streamcom Communications.
Streamweb is our internet technologies company, providing website development and hosting for services such as irirangi.net.
Streamcom Communications is an accredited Telecom Partner providing direct access to Telecom product and services for our customers.
These associated companies were created to allow development of more specialised technical competencies without distracting StreamCom from its core focus. As a group these companies allow StreamCom to deliver a comprehensive service to radio broadcasters, ranging from traditional broadcast engineering disciplines through to information technology and electronic design.
StreamCom provides all the necessary technical skills that are required by modern radio broadcasters. At a time when the industry talks about convergence, and takes its first steps into a truly digital sphere, there are still very few broadcast engineering companies that can bridge the gap between information technologies, the digital domain, analogue systems, and the RF environment. StreamCom is one of those companies
